Project
Referrals
There are three steps
that must take place prior to the establishment of a Joint Review
Panel for the Environmental Assessment of the Mackenzie Gas Project,
as guided by the AGREEMENT FOR AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REVIEW OF
A NORTHERN GAS PROJECT.
All three steps have been
completed and the joint review panel is expected to be ready for
appointment by early July, following the finalization of the agreement
cited above.
The documentation below
reflects the referral process.

141(2)(a) of the Mackenzie Valley Resource Management Act
and consistent with the Cooperation Plan, for it to enter
in to an Agreement with the Minister of the Environment to
establish a Joint Review.
